From left to right: Lord Mayor of Neu-Ulm Gerold Noerenberg and Lord Mayor Ulm
Gunter Czisch are sharing bread
What a wonderful sunny Sunday we had: under us the blue Danube river, left and right the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm enriched by the tents and the colorful flags of the Danube Festival. The ideal wetter brought many people of different origins at our breakfast who shared with the others a large range of different breads, exchanged opinions and celebrated happily the event.
After an opening by the Lord Mayor of Neu-Ulm Gerold Noerenberg and the Lord Mayor of Ulm Gunter Czisch a common song of peace was sung.
Among the many visitors not only the Ulm and Neu-Ulm citizens were included, but also countless people from the Danube countries and other international guests. Together everybody divided bread, ate, laughed, danced, painted and exchanged experiences.
Here you can find a video-report of the SWR Television in Baden-Württemberg about the Donau-Brücken-Frühstück which was sent the 11th in the daily news at 19.00-19.03, this is a big honor for all of us!
We hope that everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did and we thank all the participants and contributors for baking breads and preparing different spreads for the visitors. We are also very grateful for the help of our volunteers and organization team. Without these wonderful people we would not have been able to organize the first Danube-Breakfast on the Herdbrücke Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
