The idea of „Grandparents & Grandchildren“ was realized in the frame of a multilaterial project in Italy, Estonia, Greece, poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. It was extended in a learning Partnership to Sweden, France and Germany.
The basic idea was that older people („Grandparents“) were supported by younger ones („Grandchildren“) in acquiring digital competences.
This Learning Partnership was supported 2008-2010 by the European Commissiont.

ILEU cooperated in this Learning Partnership with ZAWiW of Ulm University.
ZAWiW participated from 2011 till 2013 in the Leonardo-da-Vinci-Transfer-of-Innovation-Projekt „G&G Update“. Within this project, the concept of G&G was extended to further countries (Latvia, Romania).
