Im Rahmen des Projekts “SmarterTogether 4 Ukraine” organisiert ILEU e.V. in Zusammenarbeit mit der Abteilung Digitale Agenda Ulm und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Lokalen Agenda Ulm 21 und der Familienbildungsstätte ein Deutsch-Ukrainisches Angebot. Dazu gehört u.a. die Einrichtung eines Internet- und Kommunikationspoints am Weinhof 9 und verschiedene analoge und digitale Angebote und Schulungen.
Die Städte Ulm und Neu-Ulm sind seit Jahren freundschaftlich mit den Ländern, Regionen und Städten entlang der Donau verbunden. Dazu gehört auch die Ukraine. Die Stadt sowie die zivilgesellschaftlichen Akteure in Ulm sind sehr erschüttert über den brutalen, völkerrechtswidrigen Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine und die Auswirkung auf die Zivilbevölkerung. Das Projekt Smarter Together4Ukraine hat zum Ziel, die Menschen mit konkreten Maßnahmen zu unterstützen, die wegen der Kriegs-Geschehen aus ihrem Heimatland fliehen und hier in den Großraum Ulm/Neu-Ulm kommen.
Das Projekt wird von der Gemeinschaft am Weinhof getragen und von der Abteilung Digitale Agenda und Lokale Agenda der Stadt Ulm, der Familienbildungsstätte Ulm und des ILEU e.V. partnerschaftlich umgesetzt. Es wird gefördert durch das Staatsministerium Baden-Württemberg. Darüber hinaus tragen weitere wichtige Akteure der ehrenamtlichen Arbeit, der Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft mit ihrer Expertise zum Gelingen bei. Die Maßnahmen können in drei Bereiche gegliedert werden.
Der „komm.treff! Ulm-Ukraine“ ist ein Kommunikations- und Internetstützpunkt im Verschwörhaus. Ukrainische Geflüchtete können hier an Computern arbeiten. Die Nutzung ist selbstständig, bei Bedarf wird Unterstützung angeboten. Hierfür gibt es regelmäßige Öffnungszeiten im Verschwörhaus:

In einer Ideenwerkstatt und einem Barcamp wurden partizipativ zusätzlich neue prototypische Angebote entwickelt, die zur Lösung von zentralen Fragestellungen zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen im Donauraum beitragen. Ziel war, die größten Herausforderungen zu identifizieren, die im Umgang und bei der Integration der Geflüchteten aus der Ukraine bestehen. Die mehr als 30 Teilnehmer*innen aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen der städtischen Verwaltung, sozialer Initiativen in Ulm und um Ulm und aus der Ukrainischen Gemeinschaft erkannten in mehreren Workshop-Formaten wichtige Herausforderungen, die für die in Ulm ankommenden Ukrainerinnen und Ukrainer bestehen. Das Barcamp wurde von den Anwesenden als großer Erfolg eingestuft und half den einzelnen Akteuren auch bei der Netzwerkarbeit. Die Ergebnisse bilden die Grundlage für ein gemeinsames Ideenlabor Mitte Oktober 2023 im Verschwörhaus – organisiert und veranstaltet von der Digitalen Agenda, ILEU e.V., der lokalen Agenda und der Familienbildungsstätte.

Abrundend werden bestehende Angebote, wie die interaktiven Online-Plattformen ViMA Ulm und ViMA Danube zum Zwecke der Vermittlung zwischen Angebot und Nachfrage an Informationen, Fähigkeiten und Unterstützung, um ein ukrainisches Angebot erweitert werden. Somit leistet das Projekt einen Beitrag zur Förderung der Kultur und der Kontakte zwischen den Menschen, es baut Vorurteile und Stereotype ab und stärkt die Verbindung zueinander und die europäische Identität.
Derzeit werden weitere Angebote im Bereich IT und neue Medien durch ILEU vorbereitet .

Within the Project „Smarter Together for Ukraine“, ILEU e.V. organises German-Ukrainian assistive offers in collaboration with the Ulm Digital Agenda Department, as well as with Local Agenda Ulm 21 and Family Education Centre. This includes setting up an internet and communication point at Weinhof 9, as well as various offline or digital offers and training courses.
For many years the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm have friendly relationships with countries, Regions and cities along the Danube. Ukraine is among them as well. The representatives of the city and civil society of Ulm are deeply shocked by Russia’s brutal attack on Ukraine, what is a violation of international law, as well as by the consequences for the civilian population.
The Project „Smarter Together4Ukraine“ aims to support with specific activities those people, who have left their countries because of the war and who came to the Ulm/Neu-Ulm Region.
The project is supported by the Weinhof community and implemented in partnership with the Digital Agenda, The Ulm Local Agenda Department, the Ulm Family Education Centre, as well as with ILEU e.V.. It is funded by the State Ministry of Baden-Württemberg. In addition, other important players from the sphere of voluntary work, science and business are contributing their expertise to the success of the project. The activities can be divided into three areas.
The Project „Komm.Treff! Ulm-Ukraine“ is a communication and internet centre in the Verschwörhaus. Ukrainian refugees can work on computers here. They can use the centre independently and are supported if necessary. Regular opening hours are provided for this purpose in the Verschwerhaus:

During the ideas workshop and barcamp, new prototypical offers were also developed in a participatory manner, contributing to the solution of central issues faced by civil society organisations in the Danube Region. The aim was to identify the biggest challenges during communication with and integration of the refugees from Ukraine. More than 30 participants from various areas of municipal administration, social initiatives from Ulm and its Region, as well as from the Ukrainian community recognised in several workshop formats the most important challenges for Ukrainians, who arrive in Ulm. The barcamp was high rated by those, who were present and also helped the individual players with their networking activities. The results will form the basis for a joint ideas lab in mid-October 2023 at the Verschwörhaus – organised and hosted by the Digital Agenda, ILEU e.V., the local Agenda and The Family Education Centre.

Current offers, such as the interactive online platforms ViMA Ulm and ViMA Danube, will be extended with adding a Ukrainian offer in order to mediate between supply-demand of information, skills and support. In this way, the project promotes culture and contacts between people, breaks prejudices and stereotypes and strengthens the connection with each other and European identity.
ILEU is currently preparing further programmes in the field of IT and new media.
